These pictures are from our trip to Southern Utah on September 4th - 11th, 2009. The weather was good except for some rain on the last day. We covered approximately 3000 miles in 8 days, click here to see the route.

We left Friday afternoon and rode to McLean, TX and stayed at the Cactus Inn. It's clean, quiet and inexpensive.

We stayed in McLean to photograph this Phillips 66 station. Unfortunately it was foggy Saturday morning when we took pictures.

Some lowlife decided the passenger window and windshield of this truck parked next to the station needed to be shot out.

Bridge across the Rio Grande on US-64 NW of Taos.

Stopping along US-64 east of US-84.

Four Corners Monument

Imagine what Greg could do with a little dance music.

Calm yourself ladies, John is married.

These guys are from the Czech Republic, they were riding across the U.S. on rented Harleys and having a great time!

US-89 south of Page, AZ.

The Historic Navajo Bridge was quite a sight.

The bridge on the left is the original bridge, it's now a walking bridge.

View from the historic bridge.

Leaving Page, AZ for the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

Headed to Jacob's Lake on US-89.

We stopped at Jacob's Lake Inn for breakfast on the way to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. It's staffed by college kids that attend Brigham Young University.

Figuring out how to get John into Grand Canyon National Park using my park pass.

Visitor's Center at the North Rim.

Inside the Visitor's Center. My camera didn't do well capturing the view out the windows.

This couple from Canada was celebrating their wedding anniversary.

The couple above took this picture for us.

Hiring me as a model would significantly increase sales of the Aerostich Roadcrafter suit.

Aikens Lodge in Kanab, UT is a great place to stay.

Rush hour (8:30a) in Kanab.

We decided to skip the $15 tunnel escort.

Zion National Park Visitor's Center.

On the way to Torrey, UT we stopped at Cedar Breaks National Monument.

The park ranger explained the geography.

We met this couple from New Jersey at Cedar Breaks. They shipped their bikes to Seattle then began ridging across the U.S. They were 2 weeks into a 4 week trip.

We stayed in Torrey, UT at the Boulder View Inn

Stopping along highway 12 on the way to Bryce Canyon.

Next park was Bryce Canyon. Bryce Canyon was my favorite park.

Loading up to leave Torrey, UT on Thursday.

We made a short stop at Capitol Reef National Park.

Interesting gas station at the intersection of highway 24 and 95. The convenience store is inside the mountain.

We had a very good breakfast at Blondie's next door to the gas station.

Interesting picnic table on the right side of Blondie's.

Stopping at Stuckey's on I-40 west of Adrian, TX

Last stop in Wichita Falls, TX on the way home. I rode about 750 miles on Friday from Gallup, NM to home. Although John and Greg have ridden farther in one day I am a legend in my own mind.
